Our team has hit the ground running this year with lots of exciting updates this month. If you haven’t already, be sure to register for our upcoming roadmap session to get a sneak peek of what we have planned in 2022.

Until then, here's a glimpse of the new enhancements we'll be rolling out before the end of February:

A friendly reminder that we’re planning to:

If you have any questions about these changes, please reach out to your CSM.

Appointment improvements

Migration to new event window in February

In our September release we announced the rollout of our new event window, which makes it simpler for staff to create appointments directly in their calendar. Since then we’ve added a few other enhancements, including the ability to:

To ensure you and your team get access to these recent enhancements—and future ones—we’ll be migrating all Coconut customers to the new experience as of February 24th, 2022.

If your team hasn't checked out the new appointment scheduling experience, we encourage you to try it out and provide us with your feedback. Just click on the top of the banner that's displayed in the old appointment scheduling modal.

Add a touch of personalization throughout your booking flow

When you use our pre-fill service to pre-populate a customer/member’s name, email and other details, we’ll now address them by their name to personalize the rest of their experience in Coconut.

Additionally, when customers/members are prompted to choose a location during their booking flow, we’ll show the locations they’ve visited most recently first to help them book faster.

These new enhancements will automatically be turned on for all Coconut customers.

Lobby updates

Kiosk app end of life in March

In our October release we shared the news we’ve rebuilt our kiosk app. Our new web-based app offers you more flexibility when it comes to the hardware you’d like to deploy your kiosk experience on. It also allows us to roll out new enhancements to your lobby kiosk, faster.

We’d encourage you to reach out to your CSM to discuss a plan to transition your kiosks from using the native iOS app to the new web-based app. We're here to support you through this transition to ensure it’s a light lift for your team, and there’s no interruption of service for customers/members. We expect to end the support for the existing app at the end of March.

Convert a walk-in to a pre-scheduled appointment

If a customer/member joins your walk-in queue, then decides they’d rather schedule an appointment, now they can. We’ve added a new option to the walk-in management page that allows them to convert their spot in the queue into an appointment. We’ll even pre-populate their service, location and contact details to make it seamless.

This new enhancement will automatically be turned on for all Coconut customers.

Platform enhancements

Migration to new Locations table

In 2021 we introduced a new, clean look and feel to the Locations management table. Since then, we have added some new capabilities including the ability to:

  • Download location data (e.g. QR codes for specific location, lobby TV and kiosk URLs)

  • Provide location-specific instructions that your customers/members will see when joining your lobby queue

Similar to the new appointment scheduling experience, on February 24th, 2022 we’ll be moving all Coconut clients over to the new Locations experience so that we can focus on the future versus maintaining the outdated experience.

If your team hasn't already, we'd encourage you to try out the new location tables and provide us with your feedback. Just click on the top of the banner that's displayed at the top of the old locations table.

Leverage additional data filters available through our Lobby API

In 2021 we introduced a set of APIs that allow you to manage walk-ins via APIs. We’re now enhancing this API to enable you to filter data using all of the same filters that are currently available for appointments—including email, phone, status, location ID, service ID, client ID and date.
