Another month, another set of exciting enhancements from our team. Here's a preview of all of the things we'll be rolling out before the end of the June:

Also, a reminder that we'll be updating the names of some of our data fields which may impact customers who use BI tool integrations.

Appointment scheduling updates

Contact center view enhancements

Last month we announced an improvement that allows contact center agents to book appointments using staff categories—which group staff based on shared characteristics like the team they belong to. Now they’ll also be able to search for staff based on a location category so they can find the right staff member, faster.

You’ll also be able embed deep links to the contact center view from your own internal systems. With this enhancement you’ll be able to pass the client ID, staff category and location category to restrict the staff or locations that are displayed while booking through this deep link. Plus, you can pass query parameters that indicate that staff or location categories are only to be highlighted during the booking process. Note, if an agent needs to book with staff or locations outside of the categories, they’ll still be able to.

Here’s the format of the URL to the contact center view we now support (with every parameter other than the subdomain being optional):

https://<<subdomain>>.coconutcalendar.com/clients/<<Coconut client ID>>/schedule-appointment?staff_category=<<Coconut staff category ID>>&location_category=<<Coconut location category ID>>&preferred_location&preferred_staff

All of these improvements will be enabled automatically for Coconut customers using our Contact Center add-on.

Booking shortcuts improvements

Coconut’s booking shortcuts have become one of those platform features that are making a real impact in the way you engage with your customers/members. We are continuing to make investments in this area to ensure this module becomes even more valuable. In this release we’re adding a few new enhancements:

Booking windows: allows you to indicate booking window associated with a booking shortcut (i.e. this booking shortcut can be used to book appointments that start after this day/time and before this day/time).

Appointment details: allows you to set up the appointment details that should be pre-populated on the client details page when a client tries to book an appointment via this shortcut.

Admin configuration: as an admin, you’ll also be able to configure a message to be displayed to your customers/members when they are trying to access a booking shortcut that can no longer be used (e.g. it is expired) or when you you only allow appointments to be booked through a shortcut.

All of these improvements will be enabled automatically for Coconut customers.

Platform updates

Upcoming EAP for new workflows feature

We’re working on some exciting new features that will help your staff build and grow relationships with your members/customers by helping you pull together multiple engagements with the same client or for the same client need (e.g. a mortgage application might require an initial phone call followed by an in person appointment) into a single view.

We’ll be opening up an early access program (EAP) for a limited number of customers next month, where you can test out what we’re building and provide feedback to help us shape these new features. If you’d like to learn more about our EAP, please reach out to your CSM for more details.

Data field updates

As we announced in April, we’re planning to make some updates to the fields available in your custom reports. The goal of these updates is to consolidate data, clarify duplicate fields and provide a better experience for business analysts and data teams. We’ve decided to push this update out until August to give customers more time to prepare for these changes.

Note: This will potentially impact the order and number of columns in any custom report that is generated. Further details and timing will be shared by your CSM.
