Scenario

While viewing the Schedule, you may have come across an appointment that showed as Reserved. But what does that mean? And how do you move an appointment out of Reserved?

Solution

An appointment marked as Reserved means that there is no customer/member in the appointment. This can happen when:

  1. A service that was booked with a customer/member has the Don't cancel appointment if attendee(s) cancel setting selected

    • This setting is typically used for appointments with multiple attendees where if one attendee cancels, then the whole appointment is not cancelled for the rest of the attendees in the appointment

  2. An appointment is created on the Schedule view and no customer/member is entered into the appointment

    • Typically a staff member would create an appointment without a client in it as a way of holding a spot for someone who is trying to confirm on their end

    • When this happens, a text window will pop up asking if you are sure to create an appointment without a customer/member in it

The ‘don’t cancel appointments if attendee(s) cancel’ setting is located in the settings for a service

Update a Reserved time block

  1. From the Schedule view, click the appointment marked as reserved

  2. Click the pencil icon

  3. In the attendees section, search for the customer/member(s) you want to add to the appointment and click their name(s)

  4. Click Save
