Objective

The following are answers to some common questions related to our Reserve with Google™ integration.

NOTE: Reserve with Google™ is an optional add-on. Please connect with your Customer Success Manager to get started.

Questions

Are a customer's/member's language settings respected?

When a customer/member books an appointment using Reserve with Google, they will be able to select their preferred language from a dropdown menu during the booking process. All notifications shared with the customer/member will be in the selected language.

Can a customer/member book a video or phone appointment using Google?

Yes, customers/members are able to select a meeting method when booking an appointment using Reserve with Google™

How does a customer/member reschedule or cancel an appointment they booked through Google?

A customer/member can reschedule or cancel an appointment booked through Reserve with Google™ through the appointment confirmation email sent to the customer/member at the time the appointment is scheduled.

How long does it take for location, service, or availability changes to appear on Google?

Location and service changes made in Coconut are refreshed in Google daily. Links can take 24-48 hours to updated.

Why are services ordered differently in Google compared to Coconut?

Google does not currently offer the ability to reorder services. Categories of services are passed to Google for better organization of long lists of services.

Why isn’t a Book Online button displaying for my location in Google?

Google attempts to match a location’s address data to Google Maps data to find a location. If an error occurs, the Book Online button will not display for the location.

In addition, your organization's Google™ Business listing needs to meet the following criteria in order to use Reserve with Google™:

  • Your organization’s location is in Canada and/or the United States

  • Your organization must be a financial institution

  • You allow customer/member's to book appointments online (using the Client View in Coconut)

  • Appointments take place at a physical location

  • The location has a physical address

  • Services are provided at the location

  • The location’s address and category in Google match the address and category in Coconut
