Revamped data tables
We’ve started to refresh our data tables to give them a new, clean look and feel. These updates will make it easier for your staff to view data, and offer a consistent view throughout Coconut. Since they leverage new technologies, you’ll also get some additional security enhancements. You can catch a preview of where we’re headed with the first data table that’s been refreshed: the Locations tab in the admin view.
To make the change as seamless as possible, staff will be able to opt in or out of the new experience. Once they’ve opted in, we’ll guide them through what’s new and give them an opportunity to share their feedback on the new experience. We encourage them to share feedback, so we can use it to help us shape other upcoming data table updates.
New event window
We’ve incorporated user feedback into a new event creation/edit experience, to make it simpler for staff to create or block out busy times directly in their calendar. Staff can click on any empty space within their schedule, or click the “New” button in the top right hand corner of their schedule to create a new appointment or busy time. To help with the transition to the new event window, staff will have the option to opt in or opt out of this new experience.
Outlook plug-in
Our new Outlook plug-in gives your staff added flexibility to book appointments, update an appointment status or add in private notes directly within their Outlook client. This means that your team can take full advantage of Coconut without ever leaving Outlook, saving them time and ensuring all of your appointment data has been captured in one location.

Lobby updates
This month we’ve also planned a few updates that will help you to provide an exceptional lobby experience.
Wait times: you can now display estimated wait times on your lobby TV, making it easier for clients to decide whether they’d like to join your queue, or book an appointment. An added bonus—wait times will be available through our APIs, so you can display them on other digital channels like the branch locator on your website.
Additional language support: you’ll have the option to share information on your lobby TV in the language that makes most sense for its location.
QR codes: clients can quickly join your queue with added ability to display QR codes on your lobby TV.
Client view
Our client view has also gotten a little love this month, with a few enhancements that will make your appointment scheduling experience even better.
Staff photos: you can now upload photos of your staff members that will be displayed beside their name in the appointment booking flow, so it’s easier for clients to recognize them when they want to book an appointment.
Timezone selection: timezone selection has a new location, so it’s easier for clients to see the timezone that they’re booking their appointment in.
New client view APIs: offer a smoother experience for logged in clients with our new API. Automatically generate a client view URL for specific clients, so their details are pre-filled when they go to book an appointment.
Accessibility: we’ve made some accessibility improvements to our client view to make it easier for clients who use a screen reader to book an appointment.
Allow cookies banner: if you choose to turn on the full private label functionality, we will no longer prompt your clients to acknowledge the usage of cookies during the Coconut booking flow. The expectation is that the acknowledgement will be, in a full private label configuration, managed by your digital channels.
New curbside service beta
We’re starting to test out a new capability that makes it easier for clients to request curbside service (for locations where this service is offered).
Want to be the first to catch a glimpse of this and other new features? Join our beta program. If we think that there’s a new feature that would be a great fit for your financial institution, we’ll reach out to offer you early access. All we ask for in return is your candid feedback.
A few honorable mentions
You can ensure that staff capture the data you need by requiring them—through a new setting—to update the status of an appointment or walk-in directly within the Dashboard view. Instead of them doing so from the Lobby view, where they can skip answering required questions that you may have set up.
Starting this month, you can leverage your Pop.io subscription to offer Pop.io powered video appointments booked through Coconut. Contact your Customer Success Manager to enable this feature.
