November already! Before we dive into this month's release, a quick note that, while we shared our excitement about upcoming document upload functionality in recent release notes, it will be arriving in a later release. Stay tuned to our release notes for updates! Also, a reminder that you can follow our release notes article. Click the follow button to make sure you're first to know should there be any updates or additions to a release!

Now, let's check out what's upcoming in our November release, which includes:

Appointments

Custom feedback options

For our customers who are collecting end of engagement feedback through a custom method (vs the Coconut powered feedback collection feature), you can now pass to your custom feedback link information related to the engagement you are requesting feedback on. Custom feedback URLs can now include client and/or service identifiers to personalize the feedback process.

For more information, please visit our API documentation.

Update! Hover to display internal notes in Schedule

It’s now quicker and easier to review notes associated with an appointment. In Schedule, when enabled, users can now simply hover over an appointment to review internal notes related to that engagement.

To enable:

  1. From the navigation menu, click Schedule

  2. Click the schedule filters dropdown (option following the Day/Week selector)

  3. Select Internal Notes

Update! Reminder notifications for staff

Admins can now set appointment reminder notifications for staff. These notifications are created in Settings, and set in the same manner as Completion Reminder Notifications. If created, these notifications display to staff in their preferred language from the notifications area in Coconut.

The option to create appointment reminder notifications is automatically enabled for all admin users.

Please refer to this article at release for additional how-to details.

Clients

API Updates

Now, if using our Client API endpoint, the email attribute is optional. The following request can be executed with only type, first_name, and last_name (no email address required):

POST https://{subdomain}.coconutcalendar.com/api/v2/clients

For more information, please visit our API documentation.

Lobby

‘Add walk-in’ workflow updates

Improvements have been made to how clients are associated with walk-in appointments. Now, when a client who has previously joined the queue creates a new walk-in appointment, their client details will be matched if first name, last name, and either phone number or email address are the same as what currently exists in their client profile.

When a staff member adds a walk-in appointment for a pre-existing client, the same matching will occur if:

  • A first name, last name, and either phone number or email address is provided

  • Use provided info to find an existing client… is selected

Branch Locator

Enhanced location selection experience

We are excited to share the launch of Branch Locator!

With Branch Locator, you can:

  • Extend the online experience clients have with your institution to include searching for locations that don’t offer services, but do offer specific functionality your clients are looking for, such as an off-site ATM

  • Empower clients to search for and schedule appointments at locations based on filterable features, such as extended hours or on-site parking

If your organization is using Lobby with Branch Locator, estimated wait times for the selected service will display in map results when a client searches using Branch Locator.

Please note that Branch Locator is an add-on feature. To learn more about this functionality, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager. Please refer to Branch Locator Overview and Branch Locator Setup to get started.

Coconut Connect

Blocked features alert

In Coconut Connect, live updates are used to support many collaboration features, such as chat. Now, Coconut Connect customers will now receive an alert if they are not able to receive live updates during a call, which is often the result of limitations related to ad/cookie blockers, anti-virus & firewall software, or proxy/VPN connections.

Users will have the option to refresh the data for some of the elements affected, while others that cannot be supported at all will be disabled. This enables users to continue with the call fully informed of any functionality limitations they may be experiencing due to network security policies in place at your institution.

This enhancement is automatically enabled for all Coconut Connect customers.

Chat transcript available

The chat transcript generated during a Connect call is now available for admins and managers to access. This transcript displays the chat conversation that occurred during the call. It is accessible from the Coconut Connect call log in a client’s activity details.

This feature is automatically enabled for all Coconut Connect customers.

Screen sharing alert

When a participant shares their whole screen during a call, there is the potential to encounter an “infinity mirror” or “vortex” effect if they share the call itself on their screen. Now, participants are provided with a messaging tip to minimize the potential of this happening and also how to correct for it if it does.

This feature is automatically enabled for all Coconut Connect customers.
