And just like that, another year is coming to a close! We wish you and yours a safe, happy, and peaceful holiday season.

Looking ahead to 2023, you'll notice a slight change to our Release Notes publishing calendar. These updates will arrive on the second Thursday (instead of the second Wednesday) each month. This change enables us to provide you with more info and screenshots of upcoming enhancements while making sure you still have nearly two weeks' notice before features are live at month's end. The best of both worlds!

Now, on to December’s updates, which include:

Advanced Analytics

Engagements Overview

There’s a new dashboard available in Advanced Analytics! The Engagements Overview dashboard enables admins to delve deeper into the appointments and walk-ins taking place at their organization. Review engagements by status or service, average lead time or wait time, average handle time, and more.

This feature is automatically enabled for all Advanced Analytics customers.

Staff Assignment Overview

Advanced Analytics also now includes a Staff Assignment Overview. This quick start provides Advanced Analytics users with the ability to explore staff assignments by location and/or service.

This feature is automatically enabled for all Advanced Analytics customers.

Coconut Connect

Improved feedback for unsupported actions

In some scenarios, specific functionality within Coconut Connect may not be supported (for example, changing the virtual background when using a browser that does not support this). In these instances, feedback is now shared with the user, explaining why they cannot use the functionality and providing tips for how to use it, if desired.

These improvements are automatically enabled for all Coconut Connect customers.

Status notifications for third party interruptions

Connect leverages third-party tooling to provide the infrastructure that powers video calls. Now, in the event that this third party experiences a service disruption that impacts a Connect call, participants will receive a notification that details the impact. Notifications display when joining the call and/or in-meeting, should a disruption occur during a call.

This enhancement is automatically enabled for all Coconut Connect customers.

Platform

Complete actions in a default language other than English

Our platform’s capabilities to support additional languages have been extended! Now, organizations can set a primary language other than English for their Coconut instance. When a primary language is set:

  • Workflows that generate a staff or client use the primary language (for example, when a staff member adds a new client)

  • API requests that generate a staff or client use the primary language (if a primary language is set and no language is provided in the request)

This feature is available for organizations using the additional languages add-on. To set a primary language, please reach out to your Customer Success contact.

Settings

Configurable expiry for API tokens

Expiration for API tokens can now be configured in your organization’s API settings. Expiry can be set by an admin for a predefined time (in seconds) after the token gets created using our authentication API.

Create categories in-app

Admins can now create categories in-app through a new area in your organization’s settings. Resources, such as staff or clients, can then be added to categories using our APIs.

This feature is automatically enabled for all Coconut customers. For more info on adding resources to categories through APIs, please visit our API documentation.

Map internal roles to Coconut roles through SSO

Admin users can now configure role mapping between your organization’s internal roles and Coconut’s roles. This is available as part of your organization’s SSO settings and for any IDP that is used in conjunction with Coconut.

This feature is automatically enabled for customers who are using an SSO integration. Please note that this feature cannot be used in combination with Active Directory at this time.

For more information on configuring role mapping, please refer to this article. For more information on configuring role claims, please refer to this article.
