Objective

Add a staff member so that they can be assigned services and included as an option in the scheduling process when clients book appointments.

NOTE: Staff members can also be added in bulk through the Import/Export workflow.

Steps

Add a new staff member

To add a new staff member:

  1. From the navigation menu, click Staff

  2. Click +New

  3. Complete the required and, where applicable, optional form fields

  4. Click Save

Hot Tips!

The following are some recommendations to consider when adding staff:

  • Account Invites: By default, an account invite will not be shared with the new staff unless Send Account Invite is selected; as a best practice, Coconut recommends waiting to send account invites to staff until such a time as you want the staff member to be active in the platform

  • Categories & Booking Shortcuts: If your organization is using Staff Categories, assign the staff to a category to have them included in booking shortcuts that apply to that category

  • Languages: If a staff member can provide services in an additional language, this can be included in their profile; if included, clients/members can choose to be serviced by a staff member who speaks the language as part of the online booking process (provided that staff member can facilitate the service the client/member selected)

  • Limit Appointments: Consider setting a daily appointment limit for staff to help balance facilitating appointments with other commitments, such as non-appointment responsibilities, etc.
