Schedule

Streamlined Appointment Booking with "View Schedule" Panel

We’ve enhanced the appointment booking workflow to help staff book faster and with greater confidence. With real-time availability now visible directly within the booking window, staff no longer need to switch between tabs to confirm open time slots.

What’s New

View Schedule Panel

The new View Schedule panel brings the Coconut Schedule directly into the appointment creation experience.

This includes:

  • Real-time availability preview
View a live calendar preview for the selected day and identify open time slots without opening the full Schedule

  • Unified booking experience
View availability across all selected staff in one place for a clear picture of the day’s schedule

  • Conflict detection and alerts
Receive immediate alerts when selecting a time that overlaps with an existing booking to prevent scheduling conflicts

By bringing booking and schedule visibility together in a single screen, the View Schedule panel reduces clicks and removes guesswork. Staff confirm appointments faster, and availability gaps and overlaps are clearly visible before booking is finalized.

This update was introduced through an early access program for a select group of customers in the February production release.

The View Schedule panel will be enabled automatically for all accounts on March 25.

Analytics

More Accurate Data for Average Service, Wait & Lead Times

How time-based metrics are calculated in Analytics now better reflect day-to-day performance.

By moving away from standard averages, this update reduces the impact of human error, such as appointments left open unintentionally, and provides a clearer view of your organization’s typical client experience.

What’s New

Time-based metrics now use the median instead of the mean.

Using the median prevents extreme outliers from skewing results. For example, a single appointment left open for several days no longer inflates overall performance metrics.

This update improves the accuracy of the following data points:

  • Average Wait Time for walk-ins

  • Average Lead Time for appointments

  • Average Service Duration for walk-ins

  • Average Service Duration for appointments

Consistency Across Dashboards

Updated calculation logic is now applied globally across all Analytics dashboards to ensure consistency and reliability in reporting.

Insights and reports remain unchanged.

The updated calculation logic will be available to all users with Analytics on March 25.

Analytics Homepage

Staff & Clients and Location Selector

The Analytics homepage continues to evolve with a new dedicated space for team and client insights, along with enhanced global filtering to help you unpack performance across regions and locations.

What’s New

Staff and Clients tab

A new Staff and Clients tab introduces five operational questions, each supported by visualizations to help you manage performance and better understand client activity.

Key insights include:

  • Identify staff members who may benefit from coaching

  • Highlight top performers across your organization

  • Monitor staff utilization rates

  • Track client satisfaction trends

  • Review client feedback patterns

This dedicated view helps leaders make informed decisions using clear, actionable data.

Global Location Selector

You can now filter the entire Analytics dashboard by specific locations using a new multi-select dropdown.

View performance data for:

  • A single branch

  • A specific region

  • Your entire organization

This enhanced filtering makes it easier to compare performance across locations and identify regional trends.

The Staff and Clients tab and the global Location selector will be available to all users with Analytics on March 25.

Settings

Custom Roles and Permissions

As organizations grow, managing staff access requires more flexibility than a one-size-fits-all role model. Custom Roles and Permissions introduces a foundational improvement to how you manage access in Coconut, moving from a legacy role structure to a modular, configurable permissions framework.

You can now tailor the Coconut experience to meet the unique needs of every team member while strengthening security and operational control.

What’s New

Granular Action Control

Restrict actions to the appropriate team members to protect data integrity and external integrations.

For example, you can limit permissions such as:

  • Editing Location Hours

  • Modifying Client details

  • Archiving Staff

This ensures sensitive changes are reserved for experienced or designated users.

Read-Only Transparency

Keep key stakeholders informed without the risk of unintended updates. You can now grant view-only access to specific areas such as:

  • Branding

  • Notifications

  • Other administrative settings

Curated User Experience

Reduce cognitive load by hiding tabs, settings, or buttons that are not relevant to a user's role. By presenting only what is necessary for daily tasks, teams stay focused and efficient.

Deployment Process

Custom Roles and Permissions will default to automatically reflect your existing permission structure. You’ll then have the opportunity to create and assign new custom roles.

Note: You do not need to take any action to maintain your existing Staff experience.

Demo Environments

CRP will be enabled on all Demo accounts on March 25th. We encourage administrators to log in and begin testing new roles and layered permissions.

Production Rollout

Custom Roles and Permissions will be enabled in your production environment through a phased rollout over the next 90 days. You will receive an email notification confirming the date this update is scheduled for your organization.

If you would like to confirm your specific transition date in advance, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager.
