September is here and we've got a lineup of exciting events over the next couple weeks that you won’t want to miss!

Join us Sept 27th at 2PM EST | 11AM PST where Jim Marous and Aaron Young (SVP of Branch Operations/Retail Banking Director at CU SoCal) will discuss how customers are overwhelmingly happier when their banks and credit unions adopt a hybrid strategy—one that gives them self-serve options for simple transactions but still offers easy access to real humans for financial advice. Plus, hear real stories and examples of what a best-in-class hybrid strategy looks like! Register Here

Looking for a Beach Break?! Chat with your peers at top financial institutions across North America as we dive into a sea of data on Sept 28th, at 12:30pm EST. This session will focus on how Coconut customers are leveraging data to drive branch efficiencies and improve customer experience. Save Your Seat

Lastly, the Coconut Crew would love to see you in Denver. We’ll be at the CUNA Operations & Member Experience Council and CUNA Technology Council Conference Oct 4th-7th. Come stop by the booth and grab yourself an exclusive customer gift.

Now, read on for what is coming when release is live in production September 27.

APIs

Open API Specification

Customers leveraging our B2B APIs can now get an Open API 3.1 version of our API documentation. This enables your development team to not only understand how to invoke the Coconut B2B APIs, but also how to quickly generate SDKs to invoke the API from your technology stack.

This feature is automatically available to customers through Settings.

Updates to bulk operations records

Previously, when customers using our B2B APIs called a bulk API with only one record included, the response returned simply that record.

Now, however, when calling a bulk API with only one record included, the response will return a one record JSON array.

This improvement is automatically enabled for all customers using our B2B APIs. Please ensure you review your use of Coconut’s B2B APIs to ensure everything is up-to-date.

Contact Center

Cancellation reason insights

Gain more insights into the reasons appointments are canceled at your organization! Now, if you have cancellation reasons enabled in your online booking experience, when an appointment is canceled through the contact center, the staff member is also asked to provide a reason.

This enhancement is automatically enabled for all customers using Coconut’s Contact Center.

Please refer to our Contact Center materials in the Help Center when release is live later this month.

Settings

Configure +New flow for appointments

Coconut admins can now configure the flow employees take when booking an appointment using the +New button! Through an organization-wide setting, admins can choose whether non-Contact Center staff scheduling an appointment from the +New button are directed to the Schedule or to the Contact Center booking flow. This enhancement gives you the opportunity to customize your Coconut experience to best suit your organization’s workflows.

This setting is automatically available to all customers.

Please refer to our Configure Settings article in the Help Center when release is live later this month.
