Scenario

You are using your own SSL certificate authority to securely access Coconut, and want to confirm you are maintaining best practices.

Suggestion

To ensure the certificate doesn't expire, there are manual steps that need to be taken. Read on for details on what information Coconut needs.

Where to begin?

For clients that use their own SSL certificate authority, Coconut requires a Certificate Signing Request (CSR). A CSR is encoded information about your organization that allows for the generation of an SSL Certificate. This is needed in order for Coconut to renew your SSL certificate and ensure that all connections are secure. To obtain a CSR, please reach out to your organization’s IT team or DNS provider. Providing Coconut this CSR will ensure that you never run into any issues with an expiring SSL Certificate, minimizing any potential issues for your organization.
