Welcome to 2021 - we return to our offices, whether at home or on location, with a hopeful look to the future and perhaps a goal to reduce our chocolate intake.
We ended 2020 strong and are looking forward to an action packed 2021. Be sure to register for our Product Roadmap webinar on Feb. 17th where we’ll dig into some of the features we’re delivering in Q1 and planning for the rest of the year.
We’ve also kicked off our Humanizing Banking campaign that will serve up some excellent thought leadership, helpful webinars and case studies of banks and credit unions that are showing how an improved customer experience helps drive growth. First up, we’re presenting on Jan. 27th on the power personalizing experiences for your customers, as well as participating in the American Bankers Association Conference for Community Bankers and the NAFCU Strategic Growth Conference. Be sure to visit our digital booths!
And we’re still looking for interested folks to try out the multiple staff appointments feature (multiple staff from your organization can schedule and host a meeting seamlessly) - if you’re interested please join the Beta program and contact your CSM for more information.
Lastly, we’re launching a new Customer Experience monthly newsletter that will review helpful tips, important Helpdesk topics and reminders from your CSMs. Check it out on Feb. 4th.
Take care!

New Features and Capabilities - launching Jan. 28th
Modern Client View now offers Google fonts!
Better align the Client View with your organization’s visual identity and branding guidelines by using any Google Font, chosen from their 1000+ options. If you’d like to get this implemented, please contact your CSM.
Reserve with Google - now available in Canada and with new eligibility for specific locations
If your organization is using Reserve with Google, you’ll now be able to control the eligibility of individual locations for Reserve with Google, useful for phased rollouts.
Notifications
Staff now have a clearer view of their notifications. We now show a badge beside the bell icon that displays the number of notifications you have.
Lobby Management
Return to Lobby notifications can be triggered from the Lobby view
Choose the locations you would like to receive Lobby notifications for by editing your profile under the notifications tab.
Managers are now able to set appointments to no show in the lobby view
The staff list in the Lobby view is now searchable
Online Queuing Beta continues!
We are continuing our testing of the latest evolution of Lobby & Visitor Management to support self-serve channels for your walk-ins: remember it’s only available for Lobby customers and only for Beta participants. Want to try this exciting new feature out? Join the Beta program today!
With the Online Queuing feature, your clients can scan a QR code using their mobile device on the door (or maybe a poster!) bringing them to a page to add themselves to the queue.
The Online Queueing feature now includes a landing page that allows clients to pick from three different actions they want to take when they arrive at the branch and scan the QR code:
Check-in to a pre-booked appointment
Join the walk-in queue
Book an appointment
Your customers can also conveniently check-in to their pre-booked appointments by looking them up using their phone or email address right from the Online Queuing page.
The “Join the Line” button no longer shows up if there are no staff currently taking walk-ins at that location - thanks to Beta feedback!
Product Improvements - launching Jan. 28th
Lobby Management
Country flags have been removed from phone inputs when adding walk-ins.
Improved the performance of location searching in the Lobby. Staff can now search for locations using the location External ID.
Improved stability when using the “Notify” button in the Lobby.
Insights
We’ve improved the performance of the “Appointments by staff” insights report as well as the “Walk-ins by staff” insights report - much quicker now!
Modern Client View
We no longer show your logo at the top of Modern Client View in an iFrame on your website when a visitor has a viewing area small enough for mobile responsive mode (i.e. on their mobile device). This will allow the Client view to blend more seamlessly with your website (which likely already shows your logo).
Here's the new mobile experience (just one logo) using our website as an example:
Compared to the normal desktop experience (with two logos):
We have adjusted the filters to be searchable in the Hours page which should greatly improve performance.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed a stability issue with the Lobby notify functionality.
Fixed an issue with setting clients to no show in the lobby view.
Fixed an issue that was causing reports to be unable to be generated.
Fixed an issue with service visibility for the Callback service.
Fixed an issue where personal busy times were not saving when they were being edited.
Fixed an issue where a large blank space was appearing on the location create/edit modal.
Fixed an issue where in certain, quite rare situations, archived services were visible in the callback service.
Fixed an issue where supported languages for staff users wasn’t properly saving.
Fixed an issue some staff users may have received a lobby notification that they shouldn’t have received - no privacy concerns, just annoying.
When a group appointment had a bunch of attendees, it sometimes became difficult to scroll to the bottom of the appointment create/edit modal. This is now fixed - the Product team wishes they were this popular.
Fixed an issue where sometimes the Lobby notify functionality would show a loading indicator for longer than it should.
In some cases, virtual locations were showing up as options for in-person appointments on the Modern Client View. This no longer happens because we aren’t in the Matrix... right?
In some instances, notes that were being added in the Contact Center were being duplicated in other areas of Coconut. This is no longer happening.
Fixed an issue where some staff users were incorrectly appearing in the Schedule based on assignments to services that were archived.
The staff language preference picker on the time step of the Modern Client View was appearing transparent. This is now fixed.
Rarely, if a client clicked to skip the location selection for a phone or video appointment on the Modern Client View there would be no availability. This is now fixed.
Fixed an issue where the Schedule would continue to fetch new events even if users had navigated to another page within the platform.
Fixed an issue where the default language setting for the Modern Client View had no effect.
Fixed an issue where the Schedule page would display as continuously loading on Internet Explorer 11.
Fixed an issue where the appointment create/edit modal layout was not correct for appointments that were booked through Reserve with Google.
Fixed a layout issue with the Schedule page where additional whitespace was present surrounding the calendar.
Fixed an issue where the location step was being incorrectly shown when booking an appointment starting from the online queue/check-in landing page.
Fixed an issue where the hover state of a Video appointment on the Schedule was showing “no video call link” when indeed, there was a link.
Fixed an issue where appointments couldn’t be booked through the Modern Client View if a user interacted with the mobile phone field, even if mobile phone wasn’t required for booking.
Fixed an issue where in very specific situations, generated availability for Reserve with Google could sometimes show artificially lower availability.
Fixed an issue with the dark text theme on the Schedule showing the Exchange icon on Appointments as a black box.
On the Modern Client View, when a virtual location was selected, a “0” would appear on the left side where the selected location was being shown. This is now fixed.
Sometimes if a client selected a meeting method on the Modern Client View, and then clicked the back button, that meeting method wouldn't be properly cleared from selection. This is now fixed.
Fixed an issue where translated values for compliance information on the Modern Client View were being wiped out.
Fixed an issue on the Modern Client View where the hover state of a map pin would appear empty.
Fixed an issue on the Modern Client View where the location list would sometimes scroll unnecessarily.
