Objective
Provide employees with tips and tricks for optimal use as your organization implements Quickstream.
Getting Started
Quickstream is an alternative usage of the Coconut platform. It enables your organization to manage appointment flow by service, instead of by location and/or staff availability.
Because it is an alternative way to use Coconut, Quickstream impacts and is impacted by other platform functionality in different ways.
Quickstream and availability
Some tips on how appointment availability works in Coconut when using Quickstream:
Info added in Hours does not impact appointment availability when using Quickstream; Quickstream uses only the details provided in Quickstream blocks and scheduled appointments to determine availability
Any away/busy updates made to your calendar in Schedule will not impact the number of available appointments; Quickstream uses only the details provided in Quickstream blocks and scheduled appointments to determine availability
Quickstream and facilitating appointments
Some tips on facilitating appointments in Coconut when using Quickstream:
Appointments booked through Quickstream can be facilitated using any meeting method associated with that service; be prepared to facilitate an appointment in person, by phone or by video, depending on your organization’s settings
Appointments booked using Quickstream are scheduled unassigned; you can assign yourself to an appointment from Dashboard, or facilitate appointments as they are assigned to you, depending on how your organization operationalizes Quickstream
For examples of different workflows organizations use to operationalize Quickstream, please refer to this article.
Quickstream and Queue Management (Lobby)
Your organization may use both Quickstream and Coconut’s Queue Management (Lobby) solutions. Quickstream does not impact Lobby availability. This is determined by each location’s business hours and adjustments.
A note on access and visibility
Admins and managers can create and edit a Quickstream block.
