Can I book appointments for another staff member through the Outlook Add-In?

While you can book appointments and include another staff member, the add-in cannot be used to book appointments on behalf of another staff member with different service assignments. Please refer to the Available Actions noted in this article for more details.

Can I use the Outlook Add-In even if my organization isn’t integrating Coconut with Exchange?

Yes. The Outlook Add-In can be used by a single user if an organization is not integrating Coconut with their Exchange server.

Please refer to this article for setup information.

What versions of Outlook is the add-in compatible with?

Outlook Add-In compatibility is dependent upon a combination of factors, such as which version of Office your organization uses, which browser is used, if you’re using an on-prem or cloud installation of Office, etc.

Please refer to this article for additional information.

Why don’t I see a timer when I use the add-in?

The timer feature is available if using the add-in in combination with a cloud installation of Outlook. If your organization is using an on-prem installation, the timer may not display.

Why is the appointment duration in my Outlook calendar not the same as the service length in Coconut?

When scheduling an appointment directly in Coconut, the appointment duration auto-updates to reflect the service length. However, this auto-update functionality does not exist in Outlook. As a best practice, confirm the date and time details prior to saving an appointment when creating it in Outlook.

Why isn’t the add-in showing up?

It can take up to 24 hours for the add-in to display in Outlook after setup is complete.
